Schemes of Satan-9

One of Satan’s most evil ways is to never give up on silencing truth tellers. If one way doesn’t silence them, try another. If after a steady stream of silencing schemes don’t work, he will kill them. This is exactly what the Pharisees and ‘religious’ leaders want to do to Jesus and others who follow Him.

John 9:24  So a second time they called the man who had been blind, and said to him, "Give glory to God; we know that this man is a sinner." 9:25  He then answered, "Whether He is a sinner, I do not know; one thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see."

This ‘man’ is GOD is the flesh. Who else can heal a man who was born blind. But, since He healed on the Sabbath, their oral laws would condemn Him. There is no rejoicing in this man’s ability to see. There is no praises to GOD. There is no wonder at this miracle. Only a lawyer’s type of interrogation to find a loop hole to condemn them both.

9:26  So they said to him, "What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes?"

9:27  He answered them, "I told you already and you did not listen; why do you want to hear it again? You do not want to become His disciples too, do you?"

You see they are not really interested in the truth, just like our ‘legal’ system today. They can only allow their truth which keeps them in control of their people.

9:28  They reviled him and said, "You are His disciple, but we are disciples of Moses. 9:29  "We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, we do not know where He is from."

They could easily determine where Jesus was from if they wanted to know the truth, which they did not want to have anyone know. By withholding this truth, they could keep on attacking Him and deceiving the people.

9:30  The man answered and said to them, "Well, here is an amazing thing, that you do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes. 9:31  "We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him. 9:32  "Since the beginning of time it has never been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a person born blind. 9:33  "If this man were not from God, He could do nothing."

This once blind man knew more than all of these spiritually blind and demonically led leaders. He is right on a number of areas. One, He opened his eyes. Two, God does not listen to sinners, which all of them where. Three, no one has ever been healed from this blindness. Fourth, if He were not from GOD, He could not have healed him.

9:34  They answered him, "You were born entirely in sins, and are you teaching us?" So they put him out.

This once blind beggar was now shunned and cast out of the Temple, i.e. the false Temple run by servants/slaves of Satan. GOD had removed His Spirit from this building 100’s of years earlier.

9:35  Jesus heard that they had put him out, and finding him, He said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?" 9:36  He answered, "Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?" 9:37  Jesus said to him, "You have both seen Him, and He is the one who is talking with you." 9:38  And he said, "Lord, I believe." And he worshiped Him.

Jesus again came to him. This is how all come to saving faith, by Jesus revealing Himself to us individually. He believed and worshipped Him; which confirmed his true faith.

9:39  And Jesus said, "For judgment I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind." 9:40  Those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things and said to Him, "We are not blind too, are we?" 9:41  Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no sin; but since you say, 'We see,' your sin remains.

Jesus never sugar coated His condemnation of deceivers and false shepherds. By telling them very clearly that their sin remains, He was telling them that they were not in the kingdom of GOD. They would not enter in to His rest. They were still in direct opposition to GOD and serving their father the Devil.

More next Saturday.
